Job description
A highly successful and supportive secondary school in Swindon is seeking a passionate and ambitious Science Teacher to join their thriving department from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a motivated teacher who can inspire students in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, while contributing to the continued success of a high-achieving school. The successful candidate will play a key role in raising attainment and nurturing curiosity for Science across all year groups. Key Details • Full-time, permanent Science Teacher role starting January 2026 • High-achieving secondary school in Swindon with an excellent academic record • Teach across KS3–KS5 with the opportunity to focus on your specialist subject • Be part of a dynamic, collaborative Science faculty with strong leadership support Experience and Qualifications • Qualified Science Teacher with QTS (PGCE or equivalent) • Ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the secondary age range • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics with a proven ability to secure positive outcomes • Enthusiasm for contributing to enrichment such as science clubs, competitions, and educational visits • Effective classroom management and a commitment to high expectations of behaviour and achievement • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team • Legal right to work in the UK School Information • Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ with a track record of strong GCSE and A-Level results in Science • Excellent resources, including modern laboratories and access to specialist equipment and support staff • A culture that promotes academic excellence alongside personal development and wellbeing • Strong focus on CPD, offering a range of professional development and leadership opportunities • Supportive leadership team committed to staff progression and workload balance • Engaged and motivated students who benefit from a broad, challenging curriculum and a wide range of extracurricular opportunities Salary • Paid to scale on MPS/UPS Application • To be considered for this Science Teacher role, please forward an updated CV as soon as possible.
