Job description
School Status & Location Sector: Outstanding Ofsted-rated Primary Academy (Community Hub). Location: Harrow (Outer London). Start Date: Maternity Cover commencing January 2026 (expected duration 9-12 months). The Opportunity & School Profile This Outstanding Harrow primary academy requires an experienced Site Manager to cover a period of maternity leave. The school needs a proactive manager to maintain the security, compliance, and overall maintenance of its modern primary facilities. This role is critical for ensuring the environment supports the academy's high standards of teaching and learning. Core Responsibilities & Scope Operational Organiser: Overseeing daily site schedules, managing security, and coordinating temporary support staff. Compliance Controller: Responsibility for all statutory H&S checks, fire safety routines, and risk assessments specific to key primary areas. Facilities Fixer: Managing planned and reactive maintenance, supervising contractors, and ensuring quick turnaround on minor repairs. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Proven site management experience, demonstrable maintenance skills, and strong commitment to H&S standards. Salary Range: Competitive salary, reflecting Outer London weighting (ranging from £38,000 - £45,000 per annum). Support: Generous Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
