Job description
Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with a heart for inclusive education? We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Primary SENCo to join a dynamic one-form entry school in Hillingdon. As the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially. SENCo Role • Part-Time (3 days) • January 2026 Start • Permanent Contract • Salary – Up to L4 As the Primary SENCo, you will: • Lead and Develop Strategies : Be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and evaluating effective strategies to support the learning and development of children with special educational needs. • Collaborate with Teachers : Work closely with classroom teachers to create inclusive learning environments and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of our students. • Individualized Support Plans : Develop and oversee personalized support plans, ensuring they are tailored to each child's unique strengths and challenges. • Liaise with Parents : Foster strong partnerships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and offering guidance on how they can support their child's learning at home. • Training and Development : Provide ongoing training and support for staff to enhance their understanding of special educational needs, fostering a culture of inclusivity within the school community. • Inclusive Curriculum : Collaborate with curriculum coordinators to ensure the curriculum is accessible and adaptable to meet the diverse needs of all learners. • Monitoring and Evaluation : Regularly assess the impact of SEN provision, collecting and analysing data to make informed decisions and continuously improve support services. • SENCo Leadership Role : Assume a leadership role within the school, advocating for the rights of students with special educational needs and championing inclusive practices.
