Job description
A vibrant and high-performing 11–18 school in Nottinghamshire is seeking an energetic and passionate Teacher of Music to join its flourishing Creative Arts faculty from January 2026. This Good rated school places music and performance at the heart of its culture. The Department The Music department is a cornerstone of the school’s identity. It boasts a suite of modern practice rooms, a soundproof recording studio, a digital composition suite, and a professional-standard performance hall. Students enjoy a rich curriculum that covers a wide range of musical traditions, from classical to contemporary, and are encouraged to compose, perform and collaborate. There’s a strong sense of community within the department. Teachers, visiting specialists and peripatetic tutors work closely together to nurture every student’s potential. Extra-curricular music is exceptionally strong, encouraging pupils to join orchestras, choirs, rock bands and chamber groups. About You You’ll be an accomplished musician with a passion for classroom teaching and performance. Whether leading ensembles or developing GCSE coursework, you’ll bring enthusiasm, structure and creativity to everything you do.
