Data Manager – Outstanding Secondary School – Nottingham Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale School Information This Outstanding 11–18 secondary school in Nottingham is recognised for its strong academic progress, data-driven improvement strategy, and collaborative leadership culture. The school serves a diverse student population and maintains consistently high standards across all key stages. The leadership team uses robust data analysis to inform curriculum planning, intervention strategies, and whole-school development. Facilities include modern IT suites and secure data management systems. Staff benefit from a structured professional environment where operational systems are efficient and clearly defined. To support continued strategic improvement, the school is seeking an experienced and analytical Data Manager. Role Overview The Data Manager will oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of student data across the school. Key responsibilities include: Managing the school MIS system Coordinating assessment cycles Producing attainment and progress reports Supporting exam data imports and analysis Submitting statutory returns (School Census) Monitoring attendance and behaviour data trends Supporting SLT with performance tracking Ensuring GDPR compliance Training staff on data systems Managing timetabling and student grouping data This role requires high attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong IT expertise. Data & Assessment Team Information The Data Manager works closely with the Exams Officer, Attendance Officer, and Deputy Head. The school maintains clear reporting structures and annual assessment schedules.
