Job description
Start Date: September 2025. Location: Greenwich. Employment Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (Until the End of the Academic Year, with the Potential for a Permanent Role). The Opportunity A welcoming and well-respected primary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 4 Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive school community that values high-quality teaching, inclusivity, and student development. The school provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to achieve their full potential both academically and personally. The position is offered on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year , with the opportunity for it to become a permanent role . The school is keen to arrange a trial shift this week for suitable candidates. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 4. Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted support and feedback. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student well-being and achievement. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance pupil learning. Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic performance. Contribute to school life, including attending meetings, training, and extracurricular activities. Person Specification Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Education or a related field. Experience teaching in KS2, ideally within Year 4. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment strategies. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. A commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Enthusiasm for professional development and collaborative working.
