Job description
Are you a passionate Reception Teacher seeking a rewarding role in January 2026? Do you want to work in a nurturing, academically ambitious independent school in Birmingham? Wayman Education is recruiting an enthusiastic Reception Teacher for a highly regarded independent school in Birmingham. The successful Reception Teacher will lead play-based learning, plan engaging lessons, support assessment and observations, and help shape the EYFS curriculum. This Reception Teacher role will allow you to develop children’s social, emotional, and academic skills in a supportive, creative, and well-resourced independent school environment. Position Details: Reception Teacher – Birmingham Start Date – January 2026 Contract – Permanent / Full-Time School Type – Independent School Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Reception lessons. Observe, assess, and track pupil progress. Support transition into Year 1. Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards. Engage with parents to share pupil development. The School: The independent school in Birmingham offers outstanding facilities, a supportive leadership team, and a collaborative EYFS team. The Reception Teacher will start January 2026, attend induction, and contribute fully to the school’s vision and ethos.
