Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons , aligning with the National Curriculum and ensuring students make significant progress. Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom where all children are encouraged to achieve their full potential. Regularly assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear goals for growth. Implement creative teaching strategies to engage Year 5 students and foster critical thinking and independence. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a rich, varied curriculum that supports both academic and personal development. Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and addressing any concerns. Engage in ongoing professional development to continuously enhance your teaching practices and knowledge. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Year 5 or another Key Stage 2 year group. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
