Psychology ECT – Boys’ School in Wandsworth (January Start) Location: Wandsworth Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale (ECT) A high-performing boys’ secondary school in Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated Psychology ECT to support their popular and expanding Sixth Form. About the School This school is known for exceptional academic standards and a disciplined but supportive environment. ECTs receive extensive mentoring from the professional development team and weekly coaching sessions. About the Psychology Department The department is thriving, with strong A Level outcomes and well-developed schemes of work. Students are motivated and highly engaged in topics such as cognition, social influence, and mental health. The Role • Teach Psychology at KS4/5. • Use varied teaching strategies, including research tasks and case-study analysis. • Support exam preparation and independent study skills. Requirements • PGCE/teacher training in Psychology or Social Sciences with QTS granted by January. • Strong understanding of the A Level Psychology curriculum. • A willingness to grow and develop as a practitioner.
