Job description
Are you a reliable and hands-on professional looking to support a busy and welcoming school community? This could be an excellent opportunity to join a successful all-through school where your role is vital to daily operations. • All-through school based in Brighton • Caretaker to support the maintenance and security of the school site • Full-time position | ASAP start Our client is seeking a dependable and proactive Caretaker to join an all-through school in Brighton with an ASAP start. This is a key support role, ensuring the premises remain safe, secure, and well maintained for pupils ranging from primary through to secondary age. The successful Caretaker will be responsible for opening and closing the site, carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs, conducting health & safety checks, and supporting contractors when required. You will work closely with the Site Manager and senior leadership to maintain high standards across the school grounds and buildings. This role would suit someone practical, organised, and confident working independently within a busy school environment. School Information This all-through school is well regarded for its inclusive ethos, strong community feel, and commitment to high standards. Leadership is supportive, and support staff are highly valued as part of the wider school team. The school maintains a positive and collaborative working culture. Experience and Qualifications • Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Assistant, or similar role (school experience desirable) • Good understanding of basic health & safety procedures • Practical DIY and maintenance skills • Reliable, proactive, and able to manage daily site responsibilities Application To be considered for this Caretaker position with an ASAP start, please forward your CV as soon as possible.
