Job description
An Outstanding Mixed school in Camden is seeking an engaging and knowledgeable History Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing in September. The successful History Teacher will ignite a passion for the past in students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Responsibilities Develop and deliver captivating History Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a range of historical periods and themes. Prepare students effectively for GCSE History examinations, ensuring a solid understanding of key events and interpretations. Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages critical thinking and an appreciation for historical context. Assess and monitor student progress in history, providing insightful and constructive feedback as a History Teacher. Contribute to the evolution of the history curriculum and the creation of engaging resources. Encourage student participation in historical debates and research projects. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in History. Demonstrated experience in teaching History at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4). A strong and comprehensive knowledge of British and world history. Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of bringing the past to life as a History Teacher. Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop a curiosity about historical events and their significance.
