Job description
We are currently seeking a motivated and innovative Design & Technology ECT to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in Bath . This is a full-time, permanent position starting January 2026 , ideal for an early career teacher passionate about inspiring creativity and technical problem-solving. • Design & Technology ECT • Supportive and Ambitious Secondary School in Bath, Somerset • Full-time, permanent position • DT ECT role starting January 2026 School Information This Bath school is recognised for its academic excellence, inclusive ethos, and outstanding facilities . The DT Department plays a vital role in developing students’ creativity and innovation, with modern workshops, 3D printers, and CAD/CAM technology. Staff enjoy a collaborative, supportive environment with excellent mentoring for ECTs. Role Information You will teach DT across KS3–KS4, inspiring students to engage with practical design, engineering, and sustainability projects. The school provides full ECT induction, personalised training, and opportunities to contribute to extra-curricular design clubs. Experience and Qualifications • Degree in DT, Product Design, or Engineering • PGCE and QTS (or pending award) • Passion for hands-on, creative learning • Strong classroom management and enthusiasm for design innovation Salary Paid to scale on MPS Application This DT ECT role offers a superb opportunity to begin your teaching career in a forward-thinking Bath school that values creativity and professional growth.
