Job description
A well-established secondary school in Dartford is seeking an experienced, proactive, and organised Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of their school premises. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to lead a small team of facilities and caretaking staff in maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient environment for students, staff, and visitors. About the Role As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the school site, ensuring it is well-maintained, compliant with health and safety regulations, and ready to support teaching and learning activities. You will manage site staff, coordinate maintenance schedules, and liaise with contractors, external suppliers, and senior leadership. Key Responsibilities • Overseeing the operation and maintenance of the school site, buildings, and grounds • Leading and supervising the facilities and caretaking team • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and school policies • Managing site security, including access control and emergency procedures • Organising maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments • Assisting with risk assessments and ensuring all safety records are maintained • Supporting school events, room setups, and operational requirements • Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and external service providers School Information This Dartford school has a strong reputation for academic excellence, positive student behaviour, and a supportive working culture.
