Job description
A well-established secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a reliable, proactive, and skilled Caretaker to join their site team as soon as possible. This is a full-time, permanent role, crucial to maintaining a safe, secure, and well-functioning school environment. About the Role As a Caretaker, you will work closely with the Site Manager and facilities team to ensure the school premises are safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for day-to-day site management, basic maintenance tasks, and supporting school events and activities. Key Responsibilities • Opening and closing the school site, ensuring security protocols are followed • Performing minor repairs, maintenance, and preventative checks • Monitoring site safety and reporting any issues promptly • Assisting with room setups for lessons, exams, and school events • Supporting compliance with health and safety regulations • Assisting with deliveries, waste management, and general site organisation School Information This high-performing school in Hounslow is recognised for excellent academic outcomes, positive student behaviour, and staff wellbeing. Experience and Qualifications • Previous experience in caretaking, facilities management, or maintenance desirable • Basic DIY and maintenance skills, including minor plumbing, painting, and repairs • Knowledge of health and safety procedures • Reliable, proactive, and flexible approach to work • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team • Legal right to work in the UK Salary Competitive salary dependent on experience.
