Job description
Are you a nurturing and creative Early Years teacher who loves inspiring young children’s curiosity and confidence through play-based learning? Do you want to make a lasting impact at the very start of a child’s educational journey? If so, we’d love to welcome you to our vibrant school community. We are seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive primary school in Surrey from January 2026. This permanent position is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and offers the potential for a TLR for subject or phase leadership for the right candidate. About the School Located in a picturesque area of Surrey, our Ofsted-rated Good with Outstanding features school is renowned for its excellent Early Years provision, creative curriculum, and strong parental engagement. Staff enjoy working in a collaborative environment where innovation and professional growth are actively encouraged. Position: Nursery Teacher Location: Surrey Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time considered TLR: Available for subject or phase leadership (for the right candidate) As our Nursery Teacher, you will: Lead a nurturing nursery class that fosters independence, imagination, and confidence Deliver a rich play-based curriculum rooted in the EYFS framework Observe, assess, and plan effectively for each child’s development Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues (If applicable) Lead a subject area or phase, contributing to whole-school development What We’re Looking For QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Experience in EYFS or nursery provision Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child-led learning Creativity, warmth, and enthusiasm for supporting early development Excellent communication and teamwork skills Willingness to take on subject or phase leadership (if seeking a TLR) What We Offer A supportive, innovative school community Motivated and happy children who love learning Shared planning and professional development opportunities Flexibility for full-time or part-time working TLR opportunities for the right candidate A convenient Surrey location with excellent transport links How to Apply If you are a dedicated and inspiring Nursery Teacher ready to make a difference in a nurturing, community-focused school, we’d love to hear from you.
