Job description
A well-resourced primary school in Watford seeks an adaptable and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to begin January 2026. The KS1 Teacher will teach across Year 1 and Year 2 where required, planning coherent sequences of learning that develop strong phonics, reading, writing and maths foundations. The successful KS1 Teacher will be confident delivering structured lessons and leading interventions to close gaps quickly. • KS1 Teacher required for a full-time position • KS1 Teacher required to work within a thriving primary school in Watford • KS1 Teacher to join a skilled and collaborative Key Stage 1 team The KS1 Teacher will play an active role in curriculum development, assessment moderation and pastoral support. This post starts January 2026, including a short induction period prior to term so the KS1 Teacher can be fully prepared for the spring term beginning January 2026. Responsibilities Teach high-quality lessons across KS1, ensuring clear progression for pupils. Plan targeted interventions and monitor outcomes to inform next steps. Collaborate closely with year-group staff and the SENDCo to support all learners. Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to parents and leadership. Engage with whole-school improvement initiatives and enrichment activities. Person specification Qualified teacher with recent experience in KS1 classrooms. Strong phonics, literacy and early maths knowledge. Excellent communicator with a calm, organised approach. Available to start January 2026 and willing to work in Watford. This KS1 Teacher role is ideal for a practitioner seeking strong staff support and clear development opportunities in Watford.
