Drama Teacher – Independent School in Wandsworth (January Start) Location: Wandsworth, London Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale (Independent School) A vibrant and creative 11–18 independent school in Wandsworth is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Drama Teacher to join their Performing Arts Department from January 2026. About the School The school is well-known for its warm, inclusive atmosphere and commitment to nurturing creativity, confidence, and a love of learning. Staff benefit from excellent facilities including performance spaces, studios, and access to high-quality technology. Professional development is strongly encouraged and supported. About the Drama Department The Drama Department is a lively, imaginative, and collaborative team offering GCSE and A Level Drama. The department produces several high-quality productions each year and runs clubs, workshops, and theatre trips. Teaching focuses on characterisation, performance technique, directing, devising, and analysis of dramatic works. Students consistently achieve strong academic and performance outcomes. The Role • Teach Drama across KS3–KS5. • Support large-scale productions and extracurricular clubs. • Develop schemes of work and contribute to performing arts events. • Encourage creativity, expression, and collaboration among students. Requirements • QTS with a Drama or Performing Arts degree. • Experience directing or assisting with productions is highly advantageous. • Excellent communication and creative teaching skills.
