Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join our dynamic school community in Walsall. The ideal candidate will have a passion for physical education, a commitment to promoting an active lifestyle, and a drive to help students reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons to students at KS3, KS4 and KS5 Develop and implement a curriculum that meets national standards and promotes the physical, social, and emotional development of students. Create a positive and inclusive environment where students can thrive through sports and physical activities. Assess and evaluate student progress through both formative and summative assessments. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development in physical education. Encourage active participation in extracurricular sports and fitness activities, fostering a love for physical activity beyond the classroom. Collaborate with colleagues to develop a strong, supportive, and progressive PE department. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and school events. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Physical Education, Sport Science, or a related field. A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). Proven experience teaching PE at secondary school level is preferred. Strong knowledge of physical education theory and practice, with the ability to teach at KS3, KS4 and KS5 levels. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop a lifelong passion for physical activity. Skills and Attributes: Passionate about promoting fitness and physical well-being. Creative and innovative in lesson planning and delivery. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the students and school. Proficient in using technology to enhance PE lessons and student engagement.
