Job description
A friendly and high-performing secondary school in Frinton-on-Sea is seeking to appoint a motivated and dedicated Science Teacher for an immediate start . This is a full-time, permanent role within a stable and successful Science department with a strong reputation for student progress and staff support. The Role You will teach Science to KS3 and KS4 , delivering lessons that balance theory with practical investigation. The department places strong emphasis on developing students’ curiosity, problem-solving skills and scientific literacy. You will contribute to lesson planning, assessment, and departmental review meetings, working alongside colleagues who value teamwork and consistent teaching standards. Practical Science is a key strength of the department. Laboratories are well maintained and fully resourced, and technician support ensures lessons run smoothly and safely. School Information This is a well-structured and community-focused school with excellent behaviour and high expectations for all learners. Students are supported through robust pastoral systems and clear routines, which create a calm and productive classroom environment. Leadership is approachable, communicative and invested in staff wellbeing. Teachers are encouraged to share ideas, attend regular CPD, and take part in broader school initiatives without excessive workload pressure.
