Job description
Music Teacher - Nurturing Musical Talent in Wandsworth About the School is a vibrant independent school in Wandsworth, dedicated to providing a well-rounded education that fosters creativity and a love of learning. About the Music Teacher Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our thriving Music department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach Music across Key Stages 3-5, inspiring students of all abilities and nurturing their musical potential. Responsibilities of the Music Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and musical interests. Create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to express themselves musically. Teach a variety of musical instruments and vocal techniques. Lead and direct school choirs and instrumental ensembles. Organise and participate in school concerts and musical productions. Assess and monitor student progress in Music , providing constructive feedback and support. Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum and departmental resources. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Music teaching. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Music or a related field. Experience teaching Music at the secondary level. A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Music .
