Job description
The school is seeking a dedicated Biology Teacher for a permanent, full-time role at a highly academic Independent School in Haringey, commencing in January 2026. The position involves teaching across the secondary age range, with a significant focus on A-Level delivery. Responsibilities Design and deliver challenging Biology lessons across all key stages, up to and including A-Level. Manage and utilise state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, ensuring high standards of practical work. Develop students' scientific curiosity, analytical skills, and critical understanding of biological concepts. Track and evaluate student performance diligently, providing precise, individualised feedback. Contribute actively to the Science faculty's co-curricular programme, such as leading a medical society or field trips. Uphold the school’s professional standards and commitment to staff collaboration. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant degree specialism in Biology. Proven experience teaching high-level Biology to advanced students. Excellent knowledge of current curricula and examination requirements. Strong communication skills and a passion for promoting scientific literacy. A commitment to continuous professional development.
