Art Technician – Independent Senior School (January Start) Location: Wandsworth Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive (Independent School) An established independent senior school is seeking a creative, practical, and efficient Art Technician to support its vibrant Art & Design Department from January. About the School The school has a strong reputation for its creative arts provision, excellent facilities, and supportive working environment. Pupils enjoy a rich programme of artistic development, exhibitions, and specialist workshops. About the Art Department The department is energetic and well-resourced, with studios dedicated to sculpture, painting, textiles, photography, and mixed media. Staff encourage experimentation, independence, and high-quality outcomes. About the Role The Art Technician will work closely with teaching staff to support lesson delivery and maintain high standards across the department. Responsibilities include: • Preparing materials and equipment for lessons, workshops, and projects. • Maintaining studios, organising resources, and managing stock. • Supporting students with practical work, portfolios, and displays. • Assisting with exhibitions, showcases, and GCSE/A Level setups. • Ensuring safe use of specialist tools and equipment. Requirements • Experience in an art, design, or workshop environment. • Practical skills in a range of materials and media. • Good organisational skills and a strong eye for detail.
