Job description
Are you a passionate and committed Year 1 Teacher ready to inspire young learners? A friendly and supportive 2-form entry primary school in Redbridge is seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position in a school that prides itself on academic excellence and nurturing every child’s personal growth. Year 1 Teacher – Key Details Start Date: September 2025 Location: Redbridge Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: Full-Time About the School Rated Good by Ofsted, this 2-form entry school is dedicated to creating an engaging and enriching learning experience for all children. Year 1 Teacher – Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge Year 1 pupils. Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages a love for learning. Assess, monitor, and support student progress, providing feedback and setting achievable targets. Encourage children to develop independence and critical thinking skills. Work closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality curriculum delivery and share effective teaching practices. Communicate regularly with parents and carers, updating them on their child's development and addressing any concerns. Take part in staff meetings, training, and wider school activities, contributing to the school community. Year 1 Teacher – Person Specification Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Education or a relevant subject. Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1, is desirable. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to differentiate learning and meet the needs of diverse learners. A collaborative team player committed to creating an inclusive classroom.
