Religious Education Teacher – Outstanding Mixed School in Croydon (January Start) Location: Croydon Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS – Paid to Scale An Outstanding Ofsted-rated mixed secondary school in Croydon is seeking a reflective and passionate Religious Education Teacher to join their Humanities Faculty from January. About the School The school is widely recognised for its inclusive ethos, high academic standards, and strong pastoral systems. Staff work collaboratively in a calm and respectful environment where professional development and staff wellbeing are prioritised. About the RE Department The RE Department is well-established and highly regarded, delivering a broad and balanced curriculum across KS3–KS5. The team encourages thoughtful debate, ethical enquiry, and critical thinking, with strong outcomes at GCSE and A Level. The Role • Teach RE across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 available for suitable candidates. • Plan engaging lessons that promote discussion and analytical skills. • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities. • Work collaboratively within the Humanities team. Requirements • QTS and a degree in RE, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject. • Strong subject knowledge and classroom practice. • Commitment to inclusive teaching and high expectations.
