About the Role: As a PE Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring students to develop their physical abilities, sportsmanship, and teamwork skills. You will deliver engaging and stimulating PE lessons, create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, and foster students' confidence in a variety of sports and physical activities. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on your experience and the school's curriculum). Foster a love of learning and encourage students to participate in a wide range of sports and physical activities with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Develop and implement innovative curriculum initiatives that align with the school's vision and the latest advancements in physical education. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and challenged to reach their full potential. Build positive and supportive relationships with students, promoting a growth mindset and a belief in their physical abilities. Play an active role in the department, including contributing to curriculum development, assessment strategies, and departmental meetings. Participate in whole-school events and initiatives, fostering a collaborative spirit and contributing to the wider school community. Coach and mentor students in various sports and extracurricular activities, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a commitment to excellence. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified PE Teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students and developing their physical literacy and sporting abilities. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for physical education, with a strong understanding of different sports, fitness activities, and pedagogical approaches. Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. A willingness to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the ongoing development of the department.
