Job description
An Outstanding school in Enfield is seeking an enthusiastic and well-informed Geography Teacher for a temporary, full-time position commencing ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic Geography Teacher to join a thriving humanities department. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging Geography Teacher lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Prepare students effectively for GCSE Geography examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of key geographical concepts and skills. Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity about the world and its challenges. Assess and monitor student progress in geography, providing clear and constructive feedback as a Geography Teacher. Contribute to the delivery of the geography curriculum and the creation of engaging resources, including fieldwork opportunities. Encourage student participation in geographical investigations and discussions about global issues. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography. Demonstrated experience in teaching Geography at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4). A strong and comprehensive knowledge of geographical concepts, processes, and contemporary issues. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of making geography relevant and engaging as a Geography Teacher. Ability to motivate and support students of varying abilities in their study of geography. A commitment to collaborative work and a supportive ethos within the humanities department.
