Location: East Lindsey, Lincolnshire Organisation: MDMS – School Support Services Contract Type: Part-Time | Term-Time Only Hours: 1–2 hours per day, Monday to Friday Join Our Team and Make a Difference Every Day Lunchtime is one of the busiest and most important parts of a child’s school day. It’s a time for refueling, socialising, and letting off energy — and with your help, it can be a safe, structured, and enjoyable experience for every pupil. MDMS is seeking Midday Meal Supervisors to support primary schools across East Lindsey . This role is perfect for anyone who enjoys working with children, wants part-time, term-time work, and is looking to make a meaningful contribution to their local community. Even though the hours are short, your presence has a lasting impact. You help children feel safe, supported, and confident, creating an environment where everyone can thrive. Key Responsibilities As a Midday Meal Supervisor, your role will include: Supervising pupils during lunchtime in dining halls, classrooms, and playgrounds Supporting younger children or those with additional needs Encouraging positive behaviour and good manners Being aware of allergies, dietary requirements, and medical conditions Supervising outdoor play and indoor activities during poor weather Promoting inclusive play and teamwork among pupils Helping resolve minor disputes calmly and fairly Providing reassurance to children who may feel anxious or upset Administering basic first aid where necessary (training provided) Reporting accidents, incidents, or safeguarding concerns promptly to school staff Collaborating with teachers, teaching assistants, and other lunchtime staff to ensure smooth routines You will be a trusted, familiar adult that children rely on each day. Who We’re Looking For No prior experience is necessary — we value personal qualities over qualifications. The ideal candidate will be: Friendly, approachable, and patient Confident supervising groups of children Calm and consistent when managing behaviour Reliable, punctual, and responsible Observant and attentive to children’s needs Happy to work as part of a team and follow school routines This role is ideal for parents, carers, retirees, or anyone seeking part-time work during school hours. Training and Support MDMS provides comprehensive training and support for all staff: Induction before starting in schools Safeguarding and child protection training Behaviour management and lunchtime supervision guidance Clear expectations and policies from schools Ongoing support from MDMS coordinators This ensures you feel confident and prepared while working in schools.
