Job description
An independent school in Northampton is seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teacher to join their team starting in January 2026 . In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to Key Stage 1 students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. You will work within a supportive and collaborative team to create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment. KS1 Teacher Responsibilities · Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to the needs of KS1 students. · Implement engaging teaching strategies to inspire and motivate learners. · Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and setting targets for improvement. · Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration. · Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing. · Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and share best practices. · Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required. KS1 Teacher Requirements · Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. · Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. · Experience teaching in KS1 (Year 1 or Year 2) in a primary school setting. · Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment methods for KS1. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs. · Commitment to ongoing professional development and current educational practices. · Flexibility and teamwork skills to thrive in a collaborative environment.
