Job description
An energetic and forward-thinking PE Teacher is sought to join one of Brighton’s leading independent day and boarding schools . This is a full-time, permanent role, suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers with a passion for sport and wellbeing. • PE Teacher • Independent School, Brighton • Full-time, permanent role • Suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers alike About the School This well-established independent school educates approximately 1,000 pupils aged 11–18 and is highly regarded for its balance of academic excellence and holistic development. Examination outcomes are consistently strong, complemented by a vibrant extracurricular programme. The PE Department plays a central role in school life, offering a broad and ambitious curriculum alongside competitive sports and enrichment opportunities. Many pupils progress to elite university sport programmes and related degrees. Outstanding sports facilities, including modern indoor and outdoor provision, support high-quality teaching and coaching within a collaborative department. Candidate Profile Applicants should hold QTS or an equivalent qualification , demonstrate strong practical and theoretical PE knowledge, and show enthusiasm for extracurricular sport. Salary and Benefits The post is offered on a direct school contract with a salary aligned to the school’s generous pay scale ( MPS/UPS equivalent ).
