Job description
Our client, an established independent school in Dartford, is seeking a committed Finance Officer to join their finance department starting in January 2026. The successful Finance Officer will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, assisting with budgeting, and supporting the Head of Finance. This Finance Officer role provides excellent exposure to school operations and development within an independent school environment. • Finance Officer required to work on a full-time position at an independent school • Finance Officer required to work within an independent school in Dartford • Finance Officer to join a well-resourced and forward-thinking finance team at an independent school The independent school in Dartford offers a collaborative working environment and professional development opportunities. The successful Finance Officer will liaise with colleagues across the school and external suppliers, ensuring compliance and efficiency. We welcome applications from experienced Finance Officer candidates who are ready to start in January 2026. This role is permanent, full-time, and based at the independent school in Dartford. The contract begins January 2026. Experience & qualifications • Proven experience as a Finance Officer or similar role in an educational or independent school setting. • Proficiency in accounting software, financial reporting, and reconciliations. • Excellent organisational and communication skills. • Ability to work with discretion and confidentiality in an independent school environment.
