Job description
Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of Physical Education with a desire to inspire students to lead active and healthy lifestyles? We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our thriving PE department in a leading independent school in Westminster. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September 2025. We have excellent facilities, including a well-equipped sports hall, gymnasium, swimming pool, and extensive playing fields. About the PE Department: The PE department is a dynamic and collaborative team with a shared passion for promoting physical literacy, healthy lifestyles, and sporting excellence. We offer a diverse and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of sports and physical activities, from traditional team sports to individual pursuits such as athletics, swimming, and dance. We encourage students to participate in competitive sports, develop their leadership skills, and represent the school at local and national events. About the Role: Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at GCSE and A Level depending on experience and interest. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Coach school sports teams and lead extracurricular sports clubs. Organise and participate in sports competitions and events. Promote healthy lifestyles and physical fitness. Contribute to the department's development and resource creation. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Physical Education . Demonstrates a passion for sports and coaching. Has strong communication and organizational skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for PE . Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
