Your Day-to-Day Impact Exciting Opportunity: Become a Key Lecturer and Inspire Learners! We are looking for a passionate and committed Lecturer to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering outstanding teaching and mentoring to our Engineering students. In this position, you will: Deliver and assess units across the Mechanical Engineering curriculum, including but not limited to Mechanical Principles, Mathematics, CAD, Engineering Design, materials, manufacturing processes and workshop-based engineering activities. Experience in CNC/manual machining would be desirable but is not essential. Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and engaging teaching materials to support student learning. Monitor learner progress, set meaningful targets and provide high-quality personal tutoring support. You will also be responsible for: Ensuring compliance with quality standards and college policies. Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives. The ideal candidate will have: A degree, apprenticeship, or industrial experience in Mechanical Engineering. Solid knowledge of engineering principles, systems design, materials and manufacturing processes. Knowledge or experience of CAD, Engineering Design, Mechanical Principles and Mathematics. Experience in CNC/manual machining would be desirable but is not essential. Experience, or willingness to train, in teaching and assessment within Further/Higher Education. A recognised teaching qualification or commitment to gaining one. Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire learners of all backgrounds.
