Job description
Our client, a busy school in Newham, is seeking a professional Finance Officer to join their finance team starting January 2026. The successful Finance Officer will manage day-to-day financial transactions, assist with budgeting, support reporting, and liaise with staff and suppliers. This Finance Officer role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the smooth running of school operations. • Finance Officer required to work on a full-time position • Finance Officer required to work within a school in Newham • Finance Officer to join a well-resourced and forward-thinking finance team The school in Newham provides excellent support and professional development for staff. The successful Finance Officer will start in January 2026, helping to maintain accurate records and supporting leadership in financial planning. This role is permanent, full-time, and based at the school in Newham. The Finance Officer will work closely with the Head of Finance and senior leadership to ensure effective financial management. Experience & qualifications • Proven experience as a Finance Officer or similar finance role. • Proficiency in accounting software, financial reporting, and reconciliations. • Excellent organisation and communication skills. • Ability to start in January 2026.
