Job description
Are you a skilled and compassionate KS1 Teacher seeking a Part-Time KS1 Teacher role that still offers strong professional development and real classroom impact? This KS1 Teacher position is at a welcoming Manchester primary and begins January 2026 . The Part-Time KS1 Teacher will start planning prior to January 2026 , attend induction in January 2026 and teach on a Part-Time timetable from January 2026 . The school values flexible working and recognises that a Part-Time KS1 Teacher can have full influence on learning outcomes. The role of the KS1 Teacher The KS1 Teacher will teach mixed-ability early-primary classes, focusing on phonics, early reading and foundational numeracy. As the KS1 Teacher , you will deliver carefully differentiated lessons, run small-group interventions and use day-to-day assessment to move learning on. The KS1 Teacher will collaborate with teaching assistants and the KS1 phase leader to ensure continuity for pupils from January 2026 through the spring term and beyond. Even as a Part-Time KS1 Teacher , you will participate in weekly phase planning and receive the same coaching and CPD offered to Full-Time colleagues. Why this KS1 Teacher role? This Manchester school values flexible working and recognises that a KS1 Teacher working Part-Time can still lead curriculum innovation. The KS1 Teacher will be supported with CPD sessions starting in January 2026 and will attend phase meetings in January 2026 and regularly thereafter. The KS1 Teacher will be encouraged to lead an aspect of curriculum development — for example, reading fluency or mathematics mastery — even as a Part-Time member of staff. KS1 Teacher responsibilities • The KS1 Teacher will plan and deliver high-quality phonics, reading and number lessons as the KS1 Teacher. • The KS1 Teacher will assess progress and provide targeted support as the KS1 Teacher. • The KS1 Teacher will work with families and external agencies where necessary as the KS1 Teacher. • The KS1 Teacher will participate in school events and contribute to curriculum planning from January 2026 as the KS1 Teacher. KS1 Teacher requirements • QTS and recent KS1 experience as a KS1 Teacher . • A calm, adaptable KS1 Teacher with a positive approach to inclusion and assessment. • Commitment to collaborative working: the KS1 Teacher will attend CPD in January 2026 and planning meetings in January 2026. Start & contract This is a Part-Time KS1 Teacher vacancy starting January 2026 . The Part-Time KS1 Teacher will receive induction from January 2026 and will have protected planning time while teaching from January 2026. The contract is Part-Time and permanent for the KS1 Teacher appointed in January 2026.
