Job description
Are you a passionate Science ECT ready to begin your career in a nurturing and academically driven environment? We are seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Salisbury from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent role, and applications from Early Career Teachers are strongly encouraged. About the School This Salisbury school is known for its high expectations, excellent pastoral systems, and strong academic outcomes. Behaviour across the school is exceptional, and students are eager to learn. Staff receive outstanding support from senior leaders, including a structured ECT induction programme, weekly mentor meetings, and extensive CPD designed to help new teachers grow quickly and confidently. About the Science Department The department benefits from modern laboratories, specialist equipment, and experienced technicians. Results at both GCSE and A-Level are consistently above national averages, and students show a strong interest in STEM subjects, often progressing to science-based careers. Role Responsibilities • Teaching Science across KS3–KS4 • Creating engaging, practical lessons that foster curiosity • Assessing pupil progress and delivering targeted feedback • Taking part in STEM clubs, trips, and enrichment opportunities • Fully engaging with the ECT training programme Experience and Qualifications • Degree in a Science-related subject • PGCE and QTS (ECTs encouraged) • Strong classroom presence and enthusiasm for science Salary Paid to scale – MPS Application Please forward your CV as soon as possible to apply for this Science ECT role in Salisbury.
