The Group Financial Controller will take ownership of the financial control, reporting, and governance of Moot Group and its subsidiary entities. The role ensures robust financial management, accurate and timely reporting, strong internal controls, and regulatory compliance across the Group, while supporting strategic decision-making and long-term growth. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring both operational excellence and strategic insight, ideal for an experienced finance professional in a growing, multi-entity environment. What will you be doing? Financial Control & Reporting Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery Lead year-end statutory accounts preparation and manage external audit processes Maintain strong balance sheet control, including reconciliations and review procedures Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory obligations Group & Commercial Finance Consolidate financial results across the Group Deliver insightful financial analysis and commentary to support decision-making Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning Partner with senior leadership to evaluate the financial implications of strategic initiatives Governance, Controls & Compliance Design, implement, and maintain robust financial controls and policies Ensure compliance with tax requirements, including VAT, Corporation Tax, and PAYE Support financial risk management and governance across the Group Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, systems, and controls Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team Act as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders Manage relationships with auditors, advisors, banks, and external partners What will you bring to the party? Essential Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) Desirable Experience in a growing, entrepreneurial, or acquisitive business Exposure to finance system implementation or process transformation Commercial mindset with the confidence to challenge and influence Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role Strong technical accounting and financial control expertise Experience within a group or multi - entity environment High attention to detail with the ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels Strong communication and stakeholder management skills What are we offering? £60,000 - £70,-000 Bonus Scheme Pension Unlimited holiday Free onsite parking
