Job description
Admissions Officer – Outstanding Secondary School – Winchester Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale School Information This Outstanding 11–18 secondary school in Winchester is highly regarded for its academic excellence, structured leadership systems, and strong parental engagement. The school consistently attracts high levels of interest from families due to its reputation for student achievement and pastoral care. Admissions are managed with transparency, efficiency, and professionalism. The school works closely with the local authority and maintains clear processes for in-year and Year 7 admissions. The administrative team is well established and highly organised. The school is seeking an experienced and detail-focused Admissions Officer to manage the admissions cycle and support student enrolment. Role Overview The Admissions Officer will coordinate and oversee all admissions procedures. Key responsibilities include: Managing applications and enrolment documentation Liaising with parents and carers Coordinating open evenings and school tours Managing waiting lists and in-year admissions Ensuring compliance with admissions policies Preparing admissions data reports Liaising with the local authority Supporting transition events Maintaining accurate admissions records Communicating offers professionally The role requires excellent organisation and strong communication skills. Administration Structure The Admissions Officer works closely with senior leadership and the School Business Manager to ensure compliance and efficiency.
