Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Reception Teacher for a good-rated, 2-form entry school located in Redbridge, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time position. Reception Teacher Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of Reception students. Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love for learning. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for development. Encourage students to take responsibility for their learning and develop their critical thinking skills. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum delivery. Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required. Reception Teacher Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching in Early Years, particularly in Reception. Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and effective assessment methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs. A team-oriented approach with a passion for creating an inclusive learning environment. Commitment to continuous professional development and best practices in teaching.
