Job description
A prestigious and high-achieving secondary school in Hampstead is seeking an experienced and strategic School Business Manager to join its senior leadership team as soon as possible. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead on financial, operational, and strategic management within a structured and ambitious school environment. The School Business Manager will play a critical role in ensuring financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across the school. The Role Leading financial planning, budgeting, and long-term financial strategy Overseeing HR processes, recruitment, and staff compliance Managing premises, facilities, and health & safety compliance Overseeing administrative functions and operational systems Supporting procurement, contract management, and service-level agreements Advising the Headteacher and Governors on financial and operational strategy Ensuring compliance with education funding regulations and audit requirements Line managing administrative and site teams The Ideal Candidate Will Have Significant experience in school business or financial management Strong knowledge of school funding, budgeting, and compliance frameworks Experience managing HR and operational functions Excellent leadership, organisational, and analytical skills Financial qualifications or equivalent professional experience A strategic, proactive, and solutions-focused approach This secondary school in Hampstead is known for its strong academic performance, professional culture, and supportive leadership team.
