Computer Science ECT – Outstanding Boys’ School in Sutton (January Start) Location: Sutton, London Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale on a direct contract An Outstanding Ofsted-rated boys’ school in Sutton is seeking a dedicated Computer Science ECT to join their fast-growing Digital Technologies Department in January 2026. About the School The school has an excellent reputation for academic achievement, student behaviour, and staff development. ECTs receive regular coaching, reduced timetables, and extensive CPD to support them throughout the first two years of teaching. About the Computer Science Department The department is innovative and forward-thinking, promoting coding, robotics, computational thinking, and digital literacy. Lessons make use of modern ICT suites, specialist software, and real-world project-based learning. Students achieve outstanding results and regularly go on to study Computer Science at top universities. The Role • Teach Computer Science across KS3–KS4 (KS5 optional depending on experience). • Contribute to coding clubs, robotics teams, and enrichment competitions. • Deliver lessons that develop problem-solving and digital skills. Requirements • PGCE with Computer Science specialism and QTS by January 2026. • Strong knowledge of programming (e.g., Python, Java, HTML). • A passion for technology, innovation, and inspiring young learners.
