Job description
A superb opportunity is available for a motivated Psychology ECT to join a respected Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Reading from January 2026 . This is a full-time, permanent role within a dynamic and well-established Social Sciences department. Psychology ECT required full-time Ofsted Outstanding school in Reading Join a successful, collaborative Sixth Form department January 2026 start Open to Early Career Teachers only About the Role The school is seeking a dedicated Psychology ECT to contribute to the teaching of A-Level Psychology , supporting a department that consistently delivers exceptional outcomes. You will teach motivated, ambitious students and play a key role in enriching the department's academic offer. The school provides a comprehensive ECT induction pathway, including weekly mentor meetings, subject-specific training, and opportunities to observe experienced practitioners. Experience and Qualifications Ability to teach A-Level Psychology with confidence and enthusiasm Strong subject knowledge and passion for Social Sciences Reflective, resilient, and eager to develop as a teacher PGCE/QTS with a specialism in Psychology Legal right to work in the UK School Information This large, high-performing secondary school in Reading is Ofsted Outstanding and widely recognised for its exceptional Sixth Form provision. With around 1,500 pupils , the school prides itself on academic ambition, inclusivity, and excellent student behaviour.
