Job description
Our Client is looking for a Religious Studies Teacher to work within a highly regarded mixed secondary school based in Durham. This is a full-time position starting January 2026. Religious Studies Teacher required full-time Excellent mixed school in Durham Strong RS department with excellent results and behaviour Experience and Qualifications • Religious Studies Teacher • Be passionate about philosophy, ethics and student discussion • A formal teaching qualification with QTS (i.e. PGCE) • Legal ability to work within the UK School Information This is a popular 11–18 mixed school with around 1,100 students, known for its inclusive ethos and strong pastoral care. In 2024, 92% of students achieved grades 9–4 at GCSE, with Religious Studies achieving 90%. The school has modern humanities classrooms, a new sixth form centre and access to digital learning tools. Teachers describe it as a nurturing, well-organised school where collaboration and innovation are encouraged. The department offers cross-curricular projects and enrichment days, allowing RS to be taught in an engaging and modern context.
