🎓 Sociology Teacher – Dorking, Surrey 🌐 Deliver Insightful Social Sciences Education in the Surrey Hills, Start January 2026 We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and committed Sociology Teacher to join the successful Social Sciences faculty at a high-achieving secondary school in Dorking, Surrey . This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position starting in January 2026 (or sooner). Sociology Teacher required (Main/Upper Pay Scale) Full-time, Permanent position starting January 2026 High-achieving secondary school in Dorking Teach Sociology primarily at Key Stages 4 and 5 (GCSE/A-Level) The Opportunity The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective Sociology specialist dedicated to delivering engaging and rigorous lessons, encouraging students to analyse and critically evaluate the structure of society. This is an excellent opportunity to teach within a high-achieving department and contribute to a subject that is highly valued for its academic rigor and real-world relevance. This is a dedicated classroom teacher role within a supportive department. We Are Looking For: A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) . A proven track record as an excellent Sociology Teacher , with essential experience teaching the subject to Key Stage 5 (A-Level) . Strong subject knowledge across core sociological concepts, theory, and research methods. A genuine passion for the subject and the ability to inspire high levels of engagement and critical thinking. A collaborative mindset, committed to contributing positively to departmental planning and student success. Salary and Benefits Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for England (Excluding London) (currently £32,916 - £51,048 for 2025/2026).
