Job description
Physics Teacher - Battersea, Wandsworth ⚛️ We're looking for an inspiring and highly qualified Physics Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in Battersea, located in the popular borough of Wandsworth. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a successful Science department and play a key role in delivering outstanding outcomes, particularly at the advanced level. The Role The school is seeking a qualified Physics specialist with proven experience teaching the subject across all key stages, with a strong emphasis on A-Level . The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about demonstrating practical applications and nurturing a genuine curiosity for the subject. Your core responsibilities will include: Delivering exceptional Physics lessons to students from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level . Developing and implementing a rigorous curriculum that encourages deep conceptual understanding and strong mathematical application skills. Leading exciting practical work in the laboratory and ensuring a high standard of health and safety. Guiding students through challenging theoretical concepts, examination preparation, and university applications (where applicable). Collaborating with the wider Science department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning. Candidate Requirements To be considered for this vital role, you should have: A degree in Physics or a closely related scientific field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE. Proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary level, with a strong track record of success at A-Level . An excellent understanding of the UK curriculum and the ability to inspire a wide range of abilities. Superb communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Salary & Application The salary for this position is competitive and will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale (Inner London pay scale), commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
