Job description
Assistant Finance Officer required January 2026 Mixed secondary school based in Hackney Assistant Finance Officer to support budgeting, procurement and financial administration Our Client is looking for an Assistant Finance Officer to support financial systems and school-wide budgeting processes within a well-established secondary school in Hackney. Responsibilities include invoice processing, tracking departmental spend, supporting monthly reporting and ensuring accurate financial documentation. School Information This 11–18 school serves approximately 1,200 students and is well known for its inclusive ethos, consistent academic expectations and highly structured operational systems. The finance department plays a central role in ensuring the school runs efficiently and within financial compliance standards. Staff describe the school as professional, collaborative and well supported. Leadership provides excellent training opportunities, clear systems and long-term development routes in education finance and business management.
