Job description
Site Manager required from January 2026 to work on a full-time, permanent basis Outstanding Secondary School in Oxford Excellent opportunity for an experienced and hands-on Site Manager to oversee maintenance, safety, and facilities management at a thriving and high-achieving school We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and experienced Site Manager to join an Outstanding secondary school in Oxford . This full-time, permanent role is central to the smooth and safe day-to-day running of the school premises, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standard and that the learning environment remains safe, clean, and welcoming. Experience and Qualifications • Proven experience in site management, facilities, or estates maintenance (school experience desirable) • Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations , COSHH, and risk assessment • Ability to manage maintenance staff, contractors, and budgets effectively • Skilled in general maintenance, minor repairs, and compliance record-keeping • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills • Relevant trade, IOSH, or facilities qualification desirable School Information This Outstanding Oxford secondary school is recognised for its exceptional teaching standards, community values, and well-maintained facilities. The campus features a mix of heritage buildings and modern learning environments, including specialist science labs, performance studios, and sports grounds. The Site Manager will lead a small, dedicated premises team, ensuring the school is safe, secure, and fully operational each day. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and external contractors to plan maintenance schedules, deliver site improvement projects, and support school events.
