Job description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Behaviour Mentor to join one of Walsall’s leading secondary schools as soon as possible. This is a full-time, permanent position supporting students’ behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement across the school. • Behaviour Mentor required – full-time, permanent • Outstanding 11–18 school in Walsall • Support pupils with behaviour, attendance, and engagement • ASAP start • Suitable for experienced mentors and support staff About the Role The school is seeking a dedicated and proactive Behaviour Mentor to support students in developing positive behaviour, resilience, and social-emotional skills. You will work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and leadership to implement strategies that promote a safe, inclusive, and focused learning environment. Key aspects of the role include supporting students who require additional guidance, mentoring pupils at risk of disengagement, and contributing to whole-school behaviour initiatives. Experience and Qualifications • Experience working in schools or youth-focused settings desirable • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff and students • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and pastoral support • Legal right to work in the UK School Information This Outstanding secondary school in Walsall is known for its strong leadership, positive culture, and commitment to high expectations.
