Job description
An engaging and knowledgeable Geography Teacher is required to join a well-regarded Independent mixed school in Islington for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) with the diversity of our planet and the interconnectedness of human and physical environments. Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver captivating Geography Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. Prepare students effectively for GCSE Geography examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of key geographical concepts. Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages geographical inquiry, critical thinking about global issues, and fieldwork. Assess and monitor student progress in Geography, providing insightful feedback to enhance their understanding. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography. Demonstrated experience teaching Geography Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4. A strong and comprehensive knowledge of geographical concepts, processes, and contemporary issues. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of making geography relevant and engaging for students. Benefits Salary will be dependent on the school's own pay scale.
