A-Level Economics Teacher | Academic Sixth Form | Kensington Role: Specialist A-Level Economics Teacher Location: Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: September 2026 (Easter start considered) Salary: Competitive Inner London Scale + Significant Professional Benefits Are you a scholar-practitioner of Economics with the ability to inspire high-achieving young minds? This is an institution that prizes intellectual curiosity and academic rigour, providing a university-style learning environment for students destined for the world's leading universities. The Role This is a "Pure Economics" position within a highly successful Social Sciences faculty. Specialist Instruction: Deliver the A-Level curriculum (typically AQA or Edexcel) with a focus on deep theoretical understanding and contemporary application. Super-Curricular Leadership: Lead the school’s Economics Society, facilitate debating clubs, and oversee entries for the IEA and Royal Economic Society essay competitions. Oxbridge Mentorship: Support elite students with admissions testing (TSA/ECAA) and provide high-level mock interview practice for competitive university entries. Data-Driven Excellence: Maintain the department’s record of high A*/A attainment through precise feedback and scholarly instruction. The Candidate Academic Pedigree: A First-Class or 2:1 degree in Economics from a Russell Group or equivalent university is highly desirable. Subject Mastery: A profound understanding of both Micro and Macroeconomic theory, with the ability to teach beyond the standard A-Level specification. Communication: An articulate, engaging classroom presence capable of leading seminar-style discussions. Vision: A commitment to fostering an environment where Economics is seen as a vital tool for understanding global geopolitical shifts.
