Job description
We are currently seeking an ambitious and dedicated Chemistry ECT who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity in the sciences. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a high-achieving Science Department known for its academic excellence. • Chemistry ECT • High-Achieving Secondary School in Maidenhead • Equivalent of MPS/UPS Salary • Full-time position • Chemistry ECT role starting January 2026 School Information This high-achieving Maidenhead school has a strong tradition of success in STEM subjects and offers excellent facilities, including modern laboratories and access to high-quality resources. The Science Department is collaborative, supportive, and focused on developing both students and teachers. The school’s ethos is centred on fostering curiosity, independence, and academic ambition. Role Information As a Chemistry ECT, you will teach Chemistry across KS3/4 with the possibility of KS5 teaching for suitable candidates. You will receive full ECT support, including mentoring, professional development, and structured observation feedback designed to ensure success in your early teaching career. Experience and Qualifications • Degree in Chemistry or related subject • PGCE and QTS • Ability to teach Chemistry to KS3/4 Salary The salary for this position will be paid to scale.
